Created for Women by Women

Why did we create AdventurUs Womxn? Because we believe there is an adventure in all of us, but there is not always an opportunity. Community, age, geography, family, apprehension, lack of connection to like minds – women are often confronted with restrictions that can keep them from exploring the more adventurous side of outdoor living.

Our Mission

Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities

AdventurUs Womxn is an all female-led company dedicated to providing the opportunity for womxn of all ages and backgrounds to learn and experience outdoor sports in beautiful environments. We are a company and a community intent on supporting other womxn both in their outdoor journey and as professionals. Saveria-Tilden
Saveria Tilden (She-Her)

Founder & CEO

Saveria Tilden has more than a decade’s experience in the outdoor industry, managing and developing strategic partnerships and experiential marketing campaigns. For two years, she was the partner & program manager for a national outdoor retreat series for women and has worked for REI Outdoor School as an instructor, teaching a variety of classes including kayaking, SUP, biking, rock climbing, map and compass/navigation, hiking, backpacking, and more. As an educator in a variety of fields over the past twenty years, Saveria has experienced first-hand the magic that happens when womxn come together to learn about and explore the outdoors, and she is passionate about bringing safe and exciting outdoor experiences to womxn who may otherwise not have the opportunity.

Building upon her desire to work only with companies and organizations committed to connecting people to the outdoors, Saveria created The AdventurUs, an outdoor marketing strategy, and strategic partnership consultancy. Then, convinced there are still not enough opportunities for womxn of all ages and backgrounds to learn and experience outdoor sports in beautiful environments, Saveria went a step further and founded AdventurUs Womxn. Confronting the reality that outdoor sports can be intimidating if not impossible to access on one’s own, AdventurUs Womxn strives to create safe learning environments that encourage friendship and skill building while connecting with nature in iconic locales. We are a company and a community intent on supporting other womxn both in their outdoor journey and as professionals. To that end, whenever it is possible, we commit to promoting and partnering with companies that are owned and operated by womxn.

Saveria’s volunteer efforts include being a member on the board of directors for the American Hiking Society, an I-rated leader with the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter, and the regional event coordinator for Camber Outdoors. She is certified as a wilderness first responder, leave no trace master educator, and AMGA SPI climbing guide. Saveria has a B.A. in psychology from Claremont McKenna College and an M.A. in education from Pepperdine University. She lives in Pasadena with her husband and their adventure pup.

Zita-Mazzola
Zita Mazzola (she-her)

Event Coordinator

Zita Mazzola is a production supervisor and coordinator active in the film industry since the mid-1980s. Over the years, she has been responsible for setting up large scale production offices throughout the U.S. and Central America and for the international traveling logistics of hundreds of cast and crew members. Her responsibilities include securing housing and services on location to support the production of movies, television series, and television commercials.

In 2017, Zita volunteered at an outdoor event for women. Once on site, her organizational skills were quickly recognized, and she became involved in the processing and admission of hundreds of participants registered to attend the event. While at the event, she was able to participate in many programs available to the attendees and experienced firsthand the joy and exhilaration of being outdoors (outside her normal comfort zone), with women of all ages and backgrounds. The comradery of the attendees under the guidance of professional outdoor leaders brought her to a newfound love and respect for the outdoor life. Recently, she tried rock climbing for the first time at an AdventurUs Womxn Weekend Event and plans to do it again. She looks forward with great delight to being a part of the AdventurUs Womxn team.

Based in Seattle, Zita was born in Hong Kong and moved to Los Angeles when she was 12. She still surprises people with her fluent Cantonese.
